Company History

Peter Irving began Urban Gardens Pty Ltd when his gardening career took off in the 1980's after receiving critical acclaim for his work.

His first large corporate contract was with the Heritage hotel (pictured below) in 1988 when it was without a doubt the showpiece hotel in Brisbane and was attracting the rich and famous to it's doors.The garden was a key piece in the puzzle of success for the (Beaufort) Heritage and now 14 years later the Stamford Plaza (as it is now known) is still maintaining it's successful relationship with Peter Irving and Urban Gardens.

Other customers that Urban Gardens has had a continuing relationship with are Brisbane City Council, Queensland Nurses Union, Southbank Apartments, AMPHGI and The Gardens Apartments

Urban Gardens has nurtured a solid relationship with the Grovely Horticultural Technical and Further Education (TAFE) College and takes select students for work experience and has employed several graduates of this TAFE college in a full time capacity.
